Earlier today rumors swirled that the motion to dismiss had been denied. I can't find any evidence that that is true. What I did find evidence of is that the court did finalize the trial dates in this case. The dates were tentative before.
There is a logic to the natural jump that came from that release to the assumption that Judge Carter denied the dismissal. Why would the court go through the work or effort to finalize trial dates for a trial that's not going to happen? It doesn't make a whole lot of sense. In fact, today Orly Taitz contacted the Justice Department and told them she wants to start the discovery process because of this. They refused, citing lack of an order. The events of today do give me optimism that I didn't have before. Tomorrow is another day.
